Bunii in the middle of Nowhere?
Time to start something new: how to properly use Photoshop. The best way for me to discover how Photoshop works, is doing tutorials. This is one of them, of course customized. The idea began with a cloudy sky with little stars, followed by a lonely island in the middle of *** nowhere. On an empty ground i put some grass, a scary-looking tree and voilĂ , a floating piece of earth! Behind the island shines a bit-moody-moon, which i found on the internet. Some changes in colour did wonders, as you can see. Now all that was left for me to do was choosing who i'd drop on that godforsaken place. And who else could that be but Bunnii? ^^ Luckily for him, i put some friends of his on the island too, just to keep him company. As a final touch I added the watersurface beneath the island and 'mirrorred' the whole picture. And since the picture is made in a big, big size, it's my new wallpaper now. Had much fun (and much time needed!) making this, but I like the result. Maybe i'll try another sky the next time, a bit more spacy perhaps.

Pillgirls
In the thought of my previous designer-toys posts, I still think they're interesting. But since I can't have them all, I make drawings of them first, just to make sure i really like them. It's kind of a test. This new drawing originally comes from a toy designed by Junko Mizuno, from the Pure Trance series. I customized her a bit, and began to draw in my dummy. She turned out pretty nice (she got through the first test!) but ever since I started using Illustrator, I couldn't help but drag myself to my laptop again. And she passed the final tests with an A! The pictures here don't do the final outcome any good, but at least you have an idea. She got a bit 'poofier', I gave the poor girl some shoes, a new dress and even a sister. And to be honest, I think I'm making progress at using Illustrator. =) Yet unnamed, but I'll update her soon!

SuperherOX!
Yay, another computer-art drawing! Originally made by the Uglydoll-designers, I've created my own version of OX, one of the Ugly's. This bunny (really, I don't know what it is with me and bunny's, but they're just awesome) lends itself perfectly for customizing. And so I did. OX has turned into a superhero (evil or good, that's for you to decide) and he looks a lot more 'rough' now. Based on the concept of Zorro and with a slight touch of Superman, this is the result.
I started with pen-tooling the original version of OX (pict. 1) and from there i worked my way to the Superhero version (pict. 2). Since this was fun to do, I might even make more alternative versions of original designertoys. It's like I can give them an alter-ego. And who wouldn't want to have one?
Cuddly Wegdehead

As a continuation of my previous plush creature-creation, here I present my second project: a cuddly Wegdehead! Wedgehead is another designertoy originally designed by the Uglydoll-company. Felt was again a suitable fabric for this plush, so why not use it again?

I didn't want it to become a bit boring to look at, so I used two colours, pink for the back- and babyblue for the frontside.
Typically for a Weghead, is that it can stand on it's head. Well, actually it can ONLY stand on his head..=p I'm really getting the 'vibe' of making plush creatures, which encourages me to make more. What willl be the next one, I don't know yet, but it'll be up here soon, I promise!

Bunnii plush
Earlier this month you might've seen my Bunnii design I've made in Illustrator, now I've expanded the 2d design to a 3d design: a Bunnii plush. Made out of 4 colours of felt, filled with pillow-stuffing, this pluche is sooo cuddly^^.. a bit small (only 4 inches tall) but that only increases the cuteness-factor. And it's a good look-a-like from the original design. In fact, I couldn't have wished for a better plush-version of the drawing. I've spend about 2 late-evening-hours making it, and it was definitely worth every minute. And she's apparently found her place at my boyfriend's Mac =p..

Bunnii

Since I'm into the designer-toys collecting these days (pictures will come up later, I still have to make nice ones), I thought it'd be cool to design my own creatures too. After a few hours of brainstorming, and eventually concluding rabbits are one of the most suited animals, I started to draw. That worked out better than I thought, and before I knew it I was drawing in Illustrator, to make it more to my likings. This was the first time I drawed something in Illustrator, so I'm still a bit stumbly at it. But even though it worked out the way I wanted. Bunnii was born, the fattest and cutest rabbit I've made this far. This little project also encouraged me to make more computer-art. Especially cartoon-figures look so much better on the computer then they do in a dummy! So here I present to you.. Bunnii =).
Uglydoll canvas

After getting my first two designer-toys, i couldn't help but wanting to get more out of that concept. Designer toys appear to be amazing to work out creative ideas. When a friend brought a few canvases I got the idea of making an Uglydoll-painting. The choice of colours was the hardest part, and when I look at it now I would've left out the green part. Despite that I like this colour-mix. It looks really happy this way, doesn't it? The pink one keeps staring at you, no matter how you look at it =p And the coolest way I experienced looking at this painting was with the help of a Phillips Colourliving Lamp. The whole 'feeling' of the painting changes with whatever colour you put on... But even in plain daylight I like it too =p
Miffy on-the-wall
My first attempt to create some wall-art, resulted in a drawing of Miffy, my favourite dutch rabbit ever. The idea is that Miffy is looking from behind a wall, like some sneaky bunny (but still looking really innocent at the same time^^)..=p I made this on the back of my bedroom-wall at my parents' house, even though I've moved out a long time ago. This somehow makes it still 'my' room. It's all made with a ruler, pencil and black marker. I used a picture on my computer as an example. Worked out pretty nice I think, even though some bits are a bit out of proportion..=p
